We were invited by UNAIDS Innovation to speak at the WEF2020 in Davos about delivery drones and to present our newly announced partnership to create an African Academy for women and girls in drones. Together with UNAIDS we want to train and build capacity among young girls in Africa to be the next generation of drone pilots and engineers who will be in charge of implementing, maintaining and manufacturing drones for logistics in their countries.
RigiTech’s technology is one of the few that allows for local manufacturing and repairs in each country allowing for a whole ecosystem to be created around the delivery drones. Drones have already proven to be life saving vehicles in many cases, allowing access to medicine, blood and other critical goods to reach remote areas within minutes. Now it is time that the technology also helps create jobs around it.
